Step 1 Get to Know the Auction Basics

Check the date of upcoming auctions and find items that you are interested in.

Step 2 Buy Catalogues

Catalogues are printed in both Chinese and English. You can find useful information about each item, such as images, basic information and estimate price.

For better service, you can contact the division supervisor and get further information about the items.

Step 3 Attend Previews

All items included in the catalogue are exhibited at the preview so you can check an item’s condition yourself.

Since we give no guarantee for the authenticity and/or quality of the lot, you and/or your agents shall inspect and investigate the actual status regarding the lot and take liability for your bidding.

Special tips: If you ask a trustee to pay the deposit or the purchase price, a copy of the paying agent’s identification document and On Behalf of the Payment Confirmation shall be supplied. In case the paying agent is a company or an institution, all the documents mentioned above shall be submitted with the seal thereon. If the payment is completed by credit card, it should be done by the paying agent himself; If it is through bank transfer, and the paying agent has indicated that “pay the auction item on behalf of the buyer XX ” in the postscript or purpose column of the money order, the On Behalf of the Payment Confirmation is not required.

Step 4 Register

You shall register and get a bidding number before the auction date with a valid identity card, passport or other certificate approved by the People's Republic of China.

If you hold a Guardian Registration Card, please go through the bidding registration formalities with the card and effective identity documents, and receive the bidding paddle after paying the bidder deposit.

If you don't have a Guardian Registration Card, please go through the following procedure:

(i) If you have gone through the bidding registration formalities but has not bid successfully at an auction held by our company, please go through the bidding registration formalities with effective identity documents, and receive the bidding paddle after paying double bidder deposit; or, with a written recommendation by an effectively registered client to our company, after the review and approval of the recommendation by our company, you shall go through bidding registration formalities with effective identity documents and receive the bidding paddle after paying the bidder deposit.

(ii) If you have not gone through the bidding registration formalities in our company, please contact our company 24 hours prior to the auction day and apply for the bidding paddle according to the following procedures:

a) If you have a written recommendation by an effectively registered client to our company, after the review and approval of the recommendation by our company, you shall go through bidding registration formalities with effective identity documents and receive the bidding paddle after paying the bidder deposit;

b) If you have no recommendation by an effectively registered client, you shall introduce your credit status to our company and fill out relevant materials. After the review and approval by our company, you shall go through bidding registration formalities with effective identity documents and receive the bidding paddle after paying double bidder deposit.

Note: Anyone who has gone through the bidding registration formalities and successfully completed payment and settlement at an auction held by our company will become a registered client of our company and be provided with a“Guardian Registration Card”.

Step 5 Auction

Auctions will be held only in the Chinese language and items are auctioned by the lot numbers.

You have to understand bidding scale and related statements.

No bidding is accepted after the hammer sounds.

When the highest bid is confirmed by striking the auctioneer's hammer or in another public manner, the bidder with the highest bidding number is the winner and the sales contract of the lot between the buyer and the seller is concluded.

Step 6 Payment

You will be deemed as the buyer of the lot after succeeding in bidding and shall pay us remuneration equal to 15 percent of the hammer price and other expenses. You must also acknowledge we are entitled to charge commission or other costs payable by the seller.

You shall make full payments in a lump sum.

Step 7 Collection

You shall collect the lot (package and transportation at your own expense) within seven days after the sale date. If payment is not made and the lot is not collected within the seven-day time frame, the buyer shall be liable for breach of contract.

Absentee Bid

You shall attend the auction personally, otherwise you may give us the commission in writing to bid on your behalf. We shall have the right, but have no obligation, to accept such a commission.

Since we charge no fee for bidding on behalf of the bidder in the case that the bidder cannot attend the auction personally, we and our employees shall not be liable for any failure in bidding or any negligence in the course of bidding. Bidders shall attend the auction in person to assure the success of bidding.

The auctioneer is entitled to raise or lower the bidding ladder, refuse any bidding, or restart an auction in case any dispute may arise on our behalf.
